Great place for just about everything! Owner is extremely friendly and kind. Store has a wide variety of convenience items. We didn't try the restaurant but it sure did smell good!
Great place to have great food and great service. Owner is great! Will serve what and how you'd like. French fries and onion rings are great!

AJ's is the most unassuming place that you might ever find. Out front it is a gas station/convenience store, but in the the back is a restaurant that large,clean and homey. The wait staff is friendly and makes you feel like you are just going over to a family member's house. The food is good, solid, comfort food. There are some differences with the addition of a Maine lobster roll and bison burgers cooked to order. I was there for lunch, so I didn't get to try their entrees. However the star of the menu is their list of pies! Holy cow! It changes daily, but you can not go wrong with a slice of blueberry a la mode. It is one of the best!. It is true that there are not a lot of places to eat around the Stoneham/Bethel area, but this one should not be paced by as you drive over the speed limit on Rt. 5!

Burgers here are fantastic in the opinion of this Texan and his elderly parents who've lived all over! Note that there is just one table in the convenience store up front, but a whole restaurant with decent ambiance for both indoor and outdoor tables on the back side (enter restaurant/bar at right end of building from front parking lot). Pizza is really good, too, and a large is a LOT of pizza. Crust is like a thicker tossed crust. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It's quite reasonably priced compared to most of the competetion for many miles around. The convenience store is fine. It is not huge and does not have everything, but hey, it's a store in a remote area that is really handy at times. We did not try out the bar. We ate inside for burgers at lunch one day and picked up takeout pizza one evening. If I ever make it back to Maine, I hope to make it back to AJ's Everything!
